Theory classes are designed to move students through the Master Theory books. Many students do not enjoy doing theory on their own and having a group setting to work through the concepts is a much more fun way to do so! Students will work through the books with myself and others so that completing the book is a group effort rather than a "homework assignment". Below are the class descriptions.

This class will cover concepts such as the staff, time signatures, note names and note and rest values. Prerequisite to Beginning Theory Part II.
Beginning Theory Part II: This class will focus on the remainder of the Beginning Theory book. Concepts covered will include dotted notes, leger lines, slurs, ties, repeats, and accidentals. Students will complete all concepts in the book. Prerequisite to Intermediate Theory Part I
